Tooling is one of the most important parts of any project as it generally accounts for the largest initial capital investment in the project. We at MDL understand that a product does not only have to be innovative and pleasing to the eye, it also has to be made to a uniform quality level consistently and cost effectively. With a raft of tool design and management experience MDL will refine the product design for optimised tool manufacture. Our in house expertise means we can also design and/or fully specify the tooling standard prior to placing an order. We appreciate that some customers use there own tooling sources and are happy to liaise with them through tooling manufacture.

At MDL we specialise in low to medium volume aluminium and steel tooling. This type of tooling provides parts of similar quality level to conventional hardened tools, however, the amortized cost of the tooling can be substantially lower than that of traditional steel tools. With experience gained managing over100 tools our engineers can see your project through to manufacture. Any tooling project undertaken by MDL offers:
